Bob Moss, Charles Reid Inducted into Hall of Fame

The University of Florida's M.E. Rinker Sr. School of Building Construction recently inducted Bob Moss of Moss & Associates, Fort Lauderdale, and Charles P. Reid of Current Builders, Pompano Beach, into the school's Construction Hall of Fame.

Moss is currently president of Moss & Associates, a construction management firm he founded in 2003. He formerly served as the chairman, president and CEO of Centex Construction Group from 2000-2003, and as the chairman, president and CEO of Centex Rooney Construction Co. in Plantation, Fla., from 1986-2000.

Reid is currently CEO of Current Builders. Heis a member of the National Associated General Contractors Workforce Development Committee, whose main focus is to promote the use of "Career Academiess in Construction" by partnering with high schools.

Each year, the Construction Hall of Fame honors distinguished industry leaders who contribute to the construction of quality buildings and have earned the esteem of their peers through leadership of professional organizations.

Georgia Hispanic Contractor Recognizes Skanska USA Building

Skanska USA Building was named "General Contractor of the Year" by the Hispanic Contractors Association of Georgia during the group's recent "Compadres de la Construcción" ("Friends of Construction") banquet in Duluth.

HCAG recognized Skanska for its mentoring work with subcontractor The World of Masonry during the construction of the DeKalb County Juvenile Courthouse project. Skanska offered advice to the Peachtree City-based company on scheduling and estimating techniques for stronger, more consistent project planning.

"Unlike many general contractors out there, Skanska cared about our business and did everything possible to help us succeed at the Juvenile Courthouse site and improve our business practices," said Martíin Gonzáalez, president of The World of Masonry.

ADP Acquires HRMA

The ADP Group of Sarasota, Fla., recently acquired the architectural firm HRMA Inc. Architects of St. Paul, Minn. The acquisition expands the company's efforts in clubhouse design, interior design and club consulting.
